Schedule of Fees
The majority of Chat Shack Speech Pathology services are charged as per the NDIS hourly rate. Please note that non face to face tasks such as record keeping and planning your session are an important part of our role. Each session fee is inclusive of a face to face portion and record keeping time (see below for more details).

Please note that Chat Shack Speech Pathology does not carry cash and encourages electronic payment. Payment via direct bank transfer is preferred and an invoice will be sent to you prior to your session. HICAPS and EFTPOS are not currently available in clinic. Payments for self managed and private clients are required on the day of your appointment.

Cancellation Policy
Due to the way we work with the same families at a regularly scheduled appointment, it is difficult for us to fill sessions if they are cancelled, especially at the last minute.
Cancellations made within 48 hrs prior to your session will attract a 50% cancellation fee.
Cancellations made within 24 hrs prior to your session will attract a 100% cancellation fee.
Assessment - $193.99/hr
Depending on you or your child's needs, an assessment can take several sessions and may require specific assessment tools. Assessment is charged at an hourly rate at 15 min intervals and tools will be charged at cost. This will be discussed in your intake appointment.
Therapy - $193.99/hr
60 min session - 45 min therapy + 15 min record keeping and planning
45 min session - 35 min therapy + 10 min record keeping and planning
This fee applies to in-clinic or telehealth sessions.
If you require a different length of appointment, this can be discussed directly with your therapist.
Reports and Letters - $193.99/hr
These are charged in 15 min intervals. Please note, some reports can take several hours. This is billed separately from your assessment.
Please allow 3 weeks notice for reports. It is your responsibility to inform us when you require an NDIS report for your review.
Non Contact Support - $193.99/hr
These include tasks such as clinical phone calls, assessment/report analysis, referral writing, letters, team meetings, case conferences, home programs, or communication with other professionals.
This is charged in 15 min intervals. You will be consulted by your therapist before undertaking these tasks.
Travel
Jes and Meg do not generally provide therapy support outside of the clinic, however if a school observation or off-site meeting is required, travel costs will be billed as per the NDIS rate and will be discussed individually prior to service.

Rebates
While we will do everything possible to support you in your NDIS journey, Chat Shack Speech Pathology is NOT a registered NDIS provider. This means that any clients wishing to access our services will need to be either SELF managed or PLAN managed. Our fees are based on the NDIS recommended hourly rate. If you have any questions regarding this, please contact us to discuss further.
You may be eligible for rebates through a Chronic Disease Management care plan (sometimes called an EPC) from your GP. Eligibility for this should be discussed with your GP and if suitable, they will forward a Medicare referral to us. Please note that CDM care plans are not bulk billed. You will be required to pay the normal session fee up front and claim your rebate via HICAPS or the Medicare app.
Private Health Insurance
If you have private health insurance, you may be eligible to claim a portion of your session fee, depending on your level of cover. Please contact your PHI provider to discuss prior to your session. You will be required to pay the normal session fee up front and can claim your rebate via your PHI app or portal.
